I purchased a cake as a gift for my son’s birthday. Living in the U.S. and he in England I wanted to share something special with him and feel like I was a part of his special day. It was gobbled up in one sitting between him, my daughter in law and my 3 very hungry grandsons!

This cake was a great price, it arrived well packaged and on time. I defrosted it in my fridge and decorated the next day. The taste of this cake was actually amazing! Everybody loved it.
I normally make and decorate my own cakes for my kids birthdays but this year I couldn't because I've had a hard time with my health for the past month so thank you Patisserie Valerie for giving me this option. Amazing, will definitely order again!

The cake was delicious and easy to decorate to add a personal touch to it. It arrived on time the evening before, and had defrosted by the time we needed to eat it the following day. Would recommend for anyone wanting a simple wedding cake!

I ordered the pick smd mix for a friend for her birthday as a surprise. I can't comment personally but I know she had one of the cakes for breakfast, so must be good! She said they are amazing. They arrived frozen, she popped them in the freezer and is taking one out every day for a treat. I'm going to order some for Xmas

100% worth every penny!
I was initially sceptical—online cake orders and glowing reviews can be hit or miss—but my doubts vanished instantly. The cake wasn’t overloaded with sugar; instead, it struck a perfect balance, delivering a rich chocolate hazelnut Ferrero-style flavour that was indulgent without being overpowering. So many chocolate cakes lean too heavily into either sweetness or cocoa, but this one nailed it. It was beautifully balanced.
My wife was so excited to try it, she had a slice for breakfast (birthday calories don’t count, of course), and she absolutely loved it. She even shared a piece with our neighbour—more of a humble brag, really, because it was that good—and now they want one too.
The photo might suggest it’s overly sweet, but don’t be fooled. It’s soft, fluffy, and delicately layered with flavour throughout. Honestly, it’s a delight.

I've ordered the cake for my 40th birthday. It arrived in perfect shape the day before and it looked great. You could smell the oranges in every slice and the texture was just right: not soggy, not dry. Everyone at the party loved it! However, the 8 inch cake is supposed to serve 20 people, but it serves 15 people at best, so it's not as big as advertised.
